The problem with putting the building permit in the window was that there wasn’t a window present. Where was she supposed to put the building permit? They didn’t care about this small detail and kept after her. Finally she went into her shed and pulled out an old window that she had removed from her house a few months before. She set that window on the property that she was developing and taped the building permit to it. Though this wasn’t what they had in mind, she did do just as they asked. Her house went up as scheduled.
